Info

hi, i'm preston.

i make films about people building things that feel like theyre from the future.

startups. weird ideas. strange products. ambitious brands trying to make something that probably shouldnt exist yet.

im especially interested in the place where media + technology collide... how new technology changes culture, and how the right story can make people actually care about it.

ive been doing this for a weirdly long time.

At 11, i started selling editing assets online to buy my first camera. then covid happened, so i locked myself in my room for a year and learned everything i could about filmmaking.

somehow, that ended with me graduating middle school and flying to dubai at 13 to work on commercials with one of the worlds largest media agencies.

still not entirely sure how that happened lol.

since then, ive traveled around the world, directed, shot, edited, learned vfx + 3d, got accepted into one of the best film schools, then dropped out during move-in day to go work inside startups.

some stuff worked out. a lot of it didnt. but somewhere in there, i became increasingly obsessed with building things beyond films.

thing is, i dont think ive ever wanted to be just a filmmaker.

i like sitting somewhere between film, technology, startups, design, and culture.

taking something thats hard to explain, finding the human story inside it, and making it suddenly feel obvious.

tldr: i want to work with ambitious brands building cool new things, then make the media that helps the rest of the world see what they see.

i like to coin it as "world building"

and hopefully with my art, inspire a few people from my generation.
